Deck the Halls with Ornaments!

Hi, CMBC members! It's the most wonderful time of the year, and to celebrate, let's make ornaments to hang on a Christmas tree!


What You Need:

  • Tablecloth or sheet of paper

  • Paper towels

  • Paper plate

  • Scissors

  • Glue stick

  • Paintbrush

  • White and blue craft paints

  • Glitter

  • Ribbon

  • Stickers

  • Clear plastic ornaments


"Winter Wonderland" Ornament Directions:

  1. Lay a tablecloth or a sheet of paper on the table.

  2. Squeeze a quarter-size amount of white paint onto a paper plate.

  3. Remove the metal top of the ornament and set it to the side.

  4. Slowly squeeze a bottle of blue paint into the inside of the ornament. Swirl and tilt the ornament around until the paint covers the entire inside of the ornament.

  5. Put the metal top back on the ornament.

  6. Dip a paintbrush into the white paint on your paper plate. Paint the bottom half of the outside of your ornament.

  7. Sprinkle glitter on the wet paint.

  8. Decorate with snowflake stickers.

  9. Place the ornament on its side and let it dry overnight.


"Glitter Globe" Ornament Directions:

  1. Lay a tablecloth or a sheet of paper on the table.

  2. Remove the metal top of the ornament and set it to the side.

  3. Slowly pour glitter into the ornament.

  4. Put the metal top back on the ornament.

  5. Decorate the outside of the ornament with stickers.


"Peppermint Candy" Ornament Directions:

  1. Lay a tablecloth or a sheet of paper on the table.

  2. Remove the metal top of the ornament and set it to the side.

  3. Slowly squeeze a bottle of white paint into the inside of the ornament. Swirl and tilt the ornament around until the paint covers the entire inside of the ornament.

  4. Put the metal top back on the ornament.

  5. Wrap a ribbon around the ornament to measure how much you need. Cut the excess off.

  6. Rub a glue stick along the middle of the ornament.

  7. Press the ribbon on top of the glue.

  8. When done, leave the ornament on the table and let it dry overnight.
